Sitka is located on Baranof Island. The island is approximately 100 miles by 25 miles.Extending North, South, and West of Sitka are many scenic, isolated small islands forming the "inside passage" for 30 or more miles in each direction. Stunning scenery and pristine wilderness awaits. This is Alaska like you will never see otherwise.

Scenic harbors abound, as do numerous vessels of all types.

Leaving the harbor gives good views of town.
