Routes

We will pick you up and drive you to the marina where the Captain and Catdaddy await us.

For the independent traveler, we will meet you at the top of the gangway at Eliason Harbor, or at your B&B or hotel.

For the cruise boat passenger we will pick you up where you disembark from your tender.

We then all walk to the slip where the Catdaddy and Captain awaits us.

The tours can be customized to fit your needs, all you have to do is ask.

We often see eagles and sea lions while leaving the harbor. We all use the bow of the boat as a 12 o'clock reference. Everyone is encouraged to call out sightings. Whales and Sea Otters can be sighted along the way to St. Lazaria.

Stellar Sea Lion rookeries are both north and south of town. Here you will have the sights, sounds, and sometimes the smells of these creatures.

Sea Otters resting among the kelp follows. We will be very quiet entering this area.

St. Lazaria will offer the bird enthusiast a chance to see puffin, murre, pigeon guillemot, and other birds and sealife.
Sea sponges, starfish, and other invertebrates can be viewed and photographed along the shore, but best at low tide.

The weather (particularly the wind) will help determine our most comfortable direction of travel, and what we should expect to see. All trips are customized to fit your needs and desires.

We do not plan a tight time table. Sometimes, the best viewing of the day occurs on our way back to Sitka. It may be that opportunity of a lifetime. We don't want to cruise by without stopping because of our schedule. That is one of the advantages to a small family run tour. This is fun for us also!
