Puffins

 

Puffins can be seen around and on St. Lazaria Island, a Bird Wildlife Sanctuary in Sitka Sound.

A Puffin's bill is adapted to allow them to hold many fish and continue to catch others.

Puffin prefer cliffs that allow them to take flight easily. They feed on fish and occasionally squid and invertebrates.
