Harbor Seals and Dall porpoises are seen frequently

The Grey Whales are not often seen, but are easily recognized
by their dark slate grey body with grey white patterns and lack of dorsal fin.

Sitka Blacktailed Deer are often seen on the shorelines.

Mountain Goats can been seen on the rugged terrain of many mountains with optics.

Swans are occasionally seen year around, but usually while migrating in Spring and Fall.

Mallard ducks are present year round.
Numerous other ducks are comon such as Golden Eye and Bluebill - Scaup.

We also know of 2 small colonies of nesting horned puffins.
Other than fish, Sitka's delicacies are Alaska Spot Prawns and Dungeness Crab.
